Pumpkin patches and places to get a Fall experience.
Tis the season for warm cider, fall leaves and pumpkin pie! For some of you, the cool Fall nights are a welcomed experience. If you have pumpkin patches on your mind and you’d like to keep your buying local, here are some lovely places to explore listed closest to furthest: (don’t forget to wear your boots if you are going to a farm!) ** denotes farms that are open 7 days per week
#1 - Fantasy Trail Wenzel Farm

Quaint, perfect for younger kids. **CASH ONLY
Take a Halloween walk through a lighted, wooded, “Fantasy Trail”, decorated with spooky sights and sounds. Walk through a 40 foot castle with Halloween scenes. Also, walk through a tunnel, maze, crooked house, suspension bridge and more. Pumpkins and refreshments are available.

#2 - Ryser’s Farm Pumpkin Patch **
22560 SW Stafford Rd. Tualatin OR 97062 (Approx 15 min from OC)
Beautiful setting and a great farm for SMALL kids or adults that don’t want to deal with crowds. Pumpkins galore with a few farm animals. Easy parking and very very quaint:) NO DOGS ALLOWED…please leave your fur babies at home. Older kids will be bored with this pumpkin patch.
HOURS: 9:30-5:00 – 7 days a week opening September 21st, 2018
PRICING: They sell pumpkins by size… not pound, but size… No admission charge to see chickens and goats or visit the patch. Wagon rides only on the weekends… $3 per person. Corn maze $3 per person.

#3 - Flower Farm Pumpkin Run **
2512 N Holly St, Canby, Oregon 97013 (Approx 15 min from OC)
HOURS: September 29 – October 31st 2018 – 7 days a week
Regular train schedule: 7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm
Boo Train schedule (Weather Permitting): October 6th, 12th, 13th, and 19th through the 30th from late dusk till 9 pm with NO Sunday night scares
PRICING: unknown…they haven’t returned my call yet
DETAILS: They have a train ride to the pumpkins, a hat maze under a pyramid of hay, small market place, and a tulip garden in the middle. Very kid friendly; farm animals to visit.
#4 - Lee Farms

HOURS: Saturdays & Sundays only starting September 23rd 2018 9am-6pm. The last ticket sale or admission sale at 5:00pm.

A 7th generation family farm in Tualatin with a farm store. Visit their farm animals and choose from over 27 varieties of pumpkins all grown in their own fields. #6 -Plumper Pumpkin Patch **

Large selection of different types of pumpkins and gourds. Lots of fun activities. Well staffed, lines aren’t bad although it is very busy. Face painting available, prices vary.

DETAILS: If CROWDS are ok and A “BIG TIME” EXPERIENCE is what you are looking for, this is a great place for you to visit! They have a store, a bakery and a garden center in addition to the harvest festival: more than 25 activities for kids of all ages. The farm is transformed into an activity center with mazes, obstacle courses, rides, oodles of farm animals and a giant pumpkin drop. See their website above under events for more details.

DETAILS: From the show Little People, Big World on TLC, the Roloff Farm is a big production with acres of land with several unique structures that have become favorite tour attractions to the many people who visit the farm during the Roloff Farms Pumpkin Patch season when the farm is open to the public every October. If you are looking for A “BIG TIME” EXPERIENCE, this is a great place to visit! They do a great job with crowd control and managing lines.You will find food carts, a gift barn, wagon tours to view the farm and attractions, pony rides, pumpkin fun house, face painting, hay pyramid, spooky forest trail loop, giant sling shots, tire zone, exotic animals, petting zoo, putt putt golf and more.
