Where to RECYCLE your stuff

Recycling is important because the waste we produce has a huge negative impact on this beautiful globe that we live on. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from trash in landfills. Recycling helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste.

First, I am so happy you visited this blog post since I can assume you have some interest in recycling or recycling more than you are now!  We can ALL do better in making sure that our personal contribution to landfill is minimized. Although generally speaking, Oregon does well in making an effort, each of us is ultimately responsible for our own habits and improving upon them as it relates to landfill.  Have a look at this article.   I am sending you a virtual high five for recycling, up-cycling and thinking of taking care of our environment!

Did you know the number one thing residents put into our green recycle bins that CAN’T be recycled is plastic grocery bags?  We can recycle them -just NOT in your green bins.  See “Recycle Plastic” below for where to drop them off!

Oregon City, OR 97045

Founded in 2011, M Seed Outreach is a volunteer-driven organization. They reach out to people who suffer from addiction. They meet people where they are at, to bring them hope and a way off the streets.

They do this by taking people who struggle with substance abuse to 12-month residential programs. Removing addicts from their triggers, enablers and placing them in a new location with a fresh start. They live in transitional housing while they are taught job skills, life skills and counseling. M Seed Outreach works with others of mutual purpose to accomplish these tasks. The men, women and families they help also go on to share that love with others, to pass on the hope they have been given, and to make transformation possible for others. 503-318-6281
