Pumpkin patches and places to get a Fall experience for October 2020.

Tis the season for warm cider, fall leaves and pumpkin pie! For some of you, the cool Fall nights are a welcomed experience.  If you have pumpkin patches on your mind and you’d like to keep your buying local, here are some lovely places to explore listed closest to furthest: (don’t forget to wear your boots if you are going to a farm!)  ** denotes farms that are open 7 days per week.

Masks are required in structures, the animal barn, and on hay rides. Masks are also required outside where ever Social Distancing can not be maintained. You will find hand washing stations, hand and cart self-sanitizing stations, pumpkin washing area, and a separate line for cash transactions.  No Dogs Please. This is a smoke and vape free farm. Do not bring food or alcohol from home – Food and adult beverages are available for sale.

HOURS: Saturday and Sundays only 9:00-5:00 throughout October 2020

PRICING:  No admission charge.

Ryser’s Farm Pumpkin Patch

Beautiful setting and a great farm for SMALL kids or adults that don’t want to deal with crowds. Pumpkins galore with a few farm animals. Easy parking and very very quaint:) NO DOGS ALLOWED…please leave your fur babies at home. Older kids will be bored with this pumpkin patch.

HOURS: Thursday – Sunday 9:00-5:00 – September 24th- October 31st, 2020

Masks and social distancing required both inside and outside. This is a smoke and vape free farm.

PRICING: They sell pumpkins by size… not pound, but size…  No admission charge to see chickens and goats or visit the patch.  

High five them for: offering different varieties of pumpkins actually grown there on their own far.


Flower Farm Pumpkin Run

HOURS: Store is open 10am-6pm October 1st – October 31st 2020 – 7 days a week.  Facemasks required.

Regular train schedule: 7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm

Boo Train schedule (Weather Permitting): October 9th, 10th, 16th, and 30th through the 30th from late dusk till 9 pm with NO Sunday night scares

DETAILS:  They have a train ride to the pumpkins, a hat maze under a pyramid of hay, small market place, and a tulip garden in the middle. Very kid friendly; farm animals to visit.

A 7th generation family farm in Tualatin with a farm store.  Visit their farm animals and choose from over 27 varieties of pumpkins all grown in their own fields.  They usually feature a corn maze (but not in 2020 due to COVID,) hayrides, a slide, pony rides, fresh apple cider and more. Quaint, perfect for younger kids.  **CASH ONLY

Take a Halloween walk through a lighted, wooded, “Fantasy Trail”, decorated with spooky sights and sounds. Walk through a 40 foot castle with Halloween scenes. Also, walk through a tunnel, maze, crooked house, suspension bridge and more. Pumpkins and refreshments are available.

PRICING: $8-$10 They highly recommend that you pre-purchase your tickets online. In order to keep the farm safe and COVID free they are limiting the number of people in at any one time.

This year, they will be using a “Farm Admission” model. Most of their attractions will be open!

DETAILS: You will see many new hand sanitizer stations, staff members dedicated to sanitizing touch surfaces, and one way paths. They will not have hayrides, pig races, live music, or barrel trains. The new “Farm Loop” trails will take you all around the farm through the animals, corn maze, sunflowers, and pumpkins. As a bonus, there is a 5th loop through their Christmas trees where you may just sight the perfect tree for your house this year!

Large selection of different types of pumpkins and gourds. Lots of fun activities. The Plumper Pumpkin Patch and Tree Farm is located on 65 acres of what used to be a century dairy farm. The rolling hills and beautiful view of the Willamette Valley provide the amazing setting for their family owned and operated farm. There is a $5 per person charge for the Corn Maze. Children 2 years and younger are free when accompanied with a paying adult/guardian.

DETAILS: From the show Little People, Big World on TLC, the Roloff Farm is a big production with acres of land with several unique structures that have become favorite tour attractions to the many people who visit the farm during the Roloff Farms Pumpkin Patch season when the farm is open to the public every October. 

NEW for 2020 Scenic Walk & Pumpkin Season Experience. This year, their Adventure Zone play area and all group Wagon Tours will be closed. They’ve implemented a reservation ticketing system that helps provide no touch admission, and help them manage the number and flow of people moving through the farm by staggering arrival times and limiting available tickets per time slot.
