Stone Cliff Inn
Stone Cliff Inn is set in a lodge-style building along the Clackamas River in Carver, built into a landscape of basalt cliffs and old-growth timber that nods to the area’s quarrying and logging history. The wine list carries a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, weighted toward the Pacific Northwest with international bottles filling in the rest.
The menu shifts seasonally around regional Oregon ingredients and scratch cooking. Prime rib runs Friday and Saturday nights only and has reportedly become a milestone-dinner tradition for regulars; pan-seared halibut and an Oregon mushroom risotto are the two dishes that come up most often in reviews beyond the beef.
Inside, it’s stone, wood, and warm lighting, with white tablecloths that lean dressed-up without tipping into stiff — a room built for an anniversary dinner or a first date someone wants to get right, more than a casual weeknight stop.
Lunch runs Tuesday through Sunday, 11:30am to 2pm; dinner 4 to 8pm with last seating at 7:45pm. Reservations go through Resy and are recommended on weekends.
