Ranee's On Main

Ranee’s On Main is a 21-and-over neighborhood pub on Main Street, open from 7am with a scratch-made menu that covers more ground than most bars attempt. Owner Ranee has more than 20 years of bartending behind her, and the kitchen matches that commitment in-house: sausage, biscuits, gravy, Hollandaise, English muffins, onion rings, chicken strips, coleslaw, and corned beef hash are all made from scratch rather than bought in.

Breakfast runs all day and makes up a large share of the menu — six different Benedicts, with the Dungeness Crab Benedict the one that comes up most in reviews. Country Fried Steak with two eggs, hashbrowns, and homemade sausage gravy is a full plate built for opening a bar this early, and the Main Street 2x2x2 (two pancakes, two eggs, two bacon or sausage) is the no-decisions option.

Burgers are hand-formed half-pound patties of certified Angus beef; Ranee’s own aged ground pork burger, with maple bacon, provolone, and red relish, is the one that isn’t on every other pub menu in town. The Prime Rib French Dip and a house-cooked Reuben cover lunch and dinner on the sandwich side.

Thursday through Saturday nights bring prime rib at 5pm in 10oz and 12oz cuts, and Dungeness crab turns up throughout the rest of the menu — cocktail, wontons, Benedict, and a crab melt on a homemade English muffin. Clam chowder and a prime rib chili are both made fresh daily.

It’s a straightforward setup otherwise: sports on the TVs, a full bar, and a room that reads exactly like what the name suggests — a neighborhood pub for adults.
